Corporate Social Responsibility can be defined as a methods used by companies to integrate social and environmental concerns in their business operations. La Vita Living Products is acutely aware of our social and environmental impact as a company and involve the following areas in our CSR.
At the La Vita Living Products branches and head office we re-use and recycle materials to reduce our carbon footprint. Our branches all have dedicated bins for recycling and we also have a great awareness of the amount of paper we use. An attempt is made to print paper only when necessary. The re-use of plastic containers and boxes also reduces the demand for resources used to make these materials. Let’s all work together to create awareness of the small things we can do to contribute to a greener future.
CREATING OPPORTUNITIES/JOB CREATION
La Vita Living Products provides anyone willing, with the opportunity to start their own business and gain financial independence. We train our distributors in order to give them the necessary skills needed for running a successful business. In this way we contribute to the improvement of unemployment. We strive to help build a community that has the means of providing for themselves.
La Vita Living Products enjoys giving back to the community by getting involved with various charity projects. In 2015, we donated R20 000 each to the Potato Foundation, a NPO that supports Pennies Nursery School, Sparrows Nursery School called PEN (to whom we also gave warm clothing) and WWF or World Wildlife Fund to go towards their African Rhino Programme.
In 2016, we selected three charities and donated R20 000 to each of them to support different causes we believe in. We chose the Jacaranda Children’s Home to help advance the education and upbringing of our future leaders, the PAWS foundation as we want to help preserve our Rhinos and Water Shortage South Africa to help bring water to people in areas, badly affected by drought.
